We are pleased to announce a significant milestone in the OMNIS project: the successful achievement of our objective to foster cross-border collaboration by enhancing the capacities of local tourism stakeholders. This accomplishment is central to our mission of creating sustainable and inclusive itineraries and packages, spanning from the coastal areas to the inner regions of Pesaro-Urbino Province and Split-Dalmatia County.
Multilingual Training Series
In recent months, Risposte Turismo has produced and published a multilingual training series available in Italian, Croatian, and English. This series features expert interviews and is designed to improve tourism accessibility through various digital formats. The accompanying methodology document, available in our library, outlines the approach taken by Risposte Turismo and other partners in developing this innovative digital content for training tourism stakeholders in the two project areas.
Call for Ideas and Sustainable Tourism Itineraries and Packages from Coastal to Inner Areas
The Catria and Nerone Mountain Union and Shuttle Travel Agency co-created new itineraries and packages in collaboration with local stakeholders. The successful call for ideas engaged local stakeholders and the community, leading to the development of innovative travel experiences. The methodology followed for the participatory creation of sustainable and inclusive itineraries and packages has been published in our library. Additionally, Shuttle Travel Agency produced a comprehensive guide, also available in our library, featuring themed itineraries and packages across the Catria Nerone Mountain Union and nearby territories, as well as Split-Dalmatia County. Each itinerary is designed to be accessible and offers enriching experiences that showcase the cultural, gastronomic, and natural beauty of the regions. These packages are specifically tailored to meet the needs of visually impaired tourists and those traveling with pets.
Successful Cross-Border Exchange Visits
Shuttle Travel Agency successfully organized a cross-border exchange visit from May 17th to May 19th for a delegation of Italian tourists. Similarly, the Catria and Nerone Mountain Union organized another exchange visit from June 25th to June 27th for a panel of Croatian tourists. These events were crucial for testing and validating the inclusive and sustainable itineraries developed during the project.
Through these achievements, the OMNIS project is making significant strides in promoting inclusive tourism and strengthening cross-border collaboration.
